In achieving its mission, the Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School offers a combination of top-tier workforce development, foundational and English language skills training, and comprehensive supportive services to train Washington, D.C.s diverse workforce. Two words really capture the unique spirit of School and the essence of this year’s annual report: excellence and community. We are proud to share with you the Carlos Rosario School’s 2010-2011 annual report, which illustrates our mission in action.
During the 2010-2011 academic year the School served more than 3,000 immigrant and minority students and provided more than 1,000 hours of student support services. We celebrated the growth of high-level partnerships with esteemed institutions such as the Culinary Institute of America and the American Red Cross, and applauded as both school administrators and students were recognized community-wide for their excellence.
Looking ahead to the future, the School has big plans for expanding to new physical locations as well as sharing our award-winning model more widely. With the help of our generous supporters we look forward to continuing to prepare the diverse adult immigrant population of Washington, DC to become invested, productive citizens and members of American society who give back to family and community.
