GED in Spanish: Monday - Friday: (8:45am - 11:30am) (1:00pm - 3:45pm); Monday - Thursday: (6:00pm - 9:00pm)
GED in English: Monday - Thursday: (6:00pm - 9:00pm)

This General Education Development course prepares students to take the GED exam and earn a high school equivalency credential. It allows the GED graduate to advance their careers, enter vocational programs, and to enroll in colleges and universities. The curriculum encompasses math, social studies, sciences, reading and writing. The GED courses are taught by a team of teachers who specialize in the subject areas.

Students are advised on their strengths and weaknesses based on preliminary test scores and develop an action plan for focused studying in order to successfully pass the exam.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must live in DC
Complete registration
ID Fee: $20
The cost of the GED exam is $50 - offered at the University of the District of Columbia
Partial tests cost $10 each
Purchase book and materials
For GED in English: A placement test is required to enroll in this class. Students may enroll concurrently in both GED in English and in the following classes:
- Computer Literacy
- Microsoft Office Applications
- Culinary Arts
- Citizenship
- Vocabulary
This class will remain open until full.
For GED in Spanish: This class is for native Spanish speakers. Students may enroll concurrently in both ESL and the GED in Spanish class. This class will remain open until full.
