Construye DC+ PROGRAM


Construye Students

Virtual Evening Program (Computer and/or Tablets Provided)
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
October Start Date (October 6, 2020)

Through this 6-month program, students develop leadership skills, safety awareness, and a deeper understanding of career paths in the construction industry. Students build practical skills and knowledge reading blueprints, using construction math, and practicing professional communication. Students earn an OSHA 30 safety certification.

This bilingual, Spanish-English, construction education program is for students with experience in the construction industry who want to continue on to enroll in apprenticeship programs, establish a small business as a contractor, or pursue higher education in construction. It is open to applicants from DC, Maryland, and Virginia with an intermediate level of English.

  • Experience in construction or related background preferred
  • Intermediate English level assessment
  • Spanish (native speaker)
  • Advising session with program lead or designee
