Carlos Rosario Public Charter School serving DC adult immigrants is currently accepting resumes for ESL Teachers for the 2010/2011 school year. Individual will instruct students in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills using a variety of student-centered instructional techniques.
Hours: EVE 6pm-9pm, Mon-Thurs
Individuals will instruct students to successfully pass the GED exam. Support adult English language learners in earning their GED credential.
All positions require candidates to have a BA degree in Education (Masters preferred) and 2-3 years GED teaching experience.
Individual must be able to teach math and composition in Spanish. Native or near native proficiency in Spanish required.
Hours: 1pm-9pm, Monday-Thursday.
Individual must be able to teach social studies and science in Spanish. Native or near native proficiency in Spanish required.
Hours: EVE 6pm-9pm, Monday-Thursday.
Individual will prepare students to obtain employment and be successful in the field of Culinary Arts.
Hours: 8:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday (pref’d) but would consider someone who could work late afternoons and evenings.
