CR_Asian_Heritage-20150529-158On May 29, 2015 we celebrated the rich cultures of Asia and the Pacific Islands with a Spring Festival at the Harvard Street Campus. The festival included student-led performances of poetry, song and dance as well as a fashion show. Student performers hailed from many different countries including Myanmar, Cambodia, Pakistan, Laos, and Hawaii. In collaboration with the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Community Cultural Center, performances of the Lion Dance, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi were also presented. Following the performance students, staff and friends of the school enjoyed a free tastings of vegetable and chicken lo mein.

This festival was a culminating event following a month-long cultural celebration which included workshops by spoken word artist Regie Cabico, interactive Taiko drumming lessons with Mark Rooney, and weekly Bollywood Zumba classes with Amina Vohra.
