Classes are taught by a registered nurse instructor and topics include medical terminology, basic caretaking skills, and a fundamental understanding of healthcare. The program requires a 40 hour clinical experience, which is held at a local clinical partner site for 10 days during the semester.
Graduates of this program have continued to work in private homes, nursing homes, and hospitals, while many graduates also pursue college to become registered nurses or other healthcare professionals in the DC metropolitan area.
