Our Nurse Aide Training program is a 5-month, 200 hours of classroom instruction along with lab skills practice sessions, prepares students to become certified nurse aides licensed in the District of Columbia. Classes are taught by a registered nurse instructor and topics include medical terminology, basic caretaking skills, and a fundamental understanding of healthcare. The program requires a 40 hour clinical experience, which is held at a local clinical partner site for 10 days during the semester.
Graduates of this program have continued to work in private homes, nursing homes, and hospitals, while many graduates also pursue college to become registered nurses or other healthcare professionals in the DC metropolitan area.

Eligible for ESL 8 (high intermediate) or higher
High School Diploma or equivalent
Criminal background check within first week of classes

Afternoon Classes (Monday-Thursday: 1:00-5:00pm), Practicum September (5 days – 7:00am-3:00pm)
