Career Training Programs

The Career Training programs at Carlos Rosario School are aimed to help English language learners earn entry-level certifications in high-wage, high-demand sectors in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Students complete classroom instruction and hands-on work in small cohorts guided by industry professionals. Upon graduation, students receive industry-recognized certifications to strengthen their candidacy for entry-level jobs with family-sustaining wages in high-demand industries. Program supports include internship opportunities, post-secondary education advising, and employability skills coaching. 

Currently, Carlos Rosario School offers training in the following industries:

Education: BILINGUAL TEACHING ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM

Hospitality: CULINARY ARTS TRAINING PROGRAM

Construction: CONSTRUCTION: CONSTRUYE DC+ PROGRAM

Healthcare: NURSE AIDE TRAINING PROGRAM

Technology: TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM

Workforce career training classes include:

  • Small cohorts-based in-class instruction with 50% hands-on/practical experience
  • Contextualized and integrated digital literacy training
  • Embedded employability skills trainings in each class
  • Access to career coaches to help find a job
  • Exposure to local businesses through site visits, interviews, and presentations
  • Opportunity to gain industry recognized certifications
